I know that for selling that we usually sign a exclusive with the agent that is marketing the flat.

I wish to know, is there also an exclusive agreement when we want to buy a flat. Can we view a flat with one agent and then bring our own agent to negotiate a deal? Is there such a thing that i can only view flat exclusie to an agent?

Hi Ann,

Yes, there is a possibility to sign an exclusive agreement for buying as well. However, this is not a normal practise.

Please note that once you view the flat with a agent A, you cannot bring your agent B to negiotiate the deal that you have viewed with agent A. Read More

I have been viewing flats with Agent A but found nothing to my liking.

Then I viewed a flat X (which Agent A never showed) with Agent B and closed the deal.

Now Agent A is creating a ruckus claiming that there is an exclusive relationship.
By the way, I never signed any exclusivity agreement for buying.
