Upon getting your RES exam result, you can join the agency of your choice. Be it big or small, it's more onto what you are looking at, which sector you want to venture into, and how your manager and team can work together to help one another.
CEA registration and in-house course for newbie will cost you around $1k. As for how much you will be spending per month would depend on how you want to approach the market. Farming, cold-call, roadshow, tele-marketing, mailers are some method. They yield different results for different group of people. It may cost you around as little as $250 per month to even few grand per month. It's definitely possible to start off as part time agent, which myself and my new recruit have experienced.
