According to many industry veterans and top producers, real estate industry is about the number game. Do you agree?

I started off this industry while holding on to a full time job just like how you intend to kickstart this business, and I have to say, it was real tough to juggle because we simply do not have sufficient time to pick up the critical knowledge to excel in this industry. I went full steam ahead and quit my job 2 years later, without leaving much foot print in the real estate industry, took the risk and the rest is history.

I do not pride myself as a top producer, because there are just so many of them way ahead of me, but I have to say I am earning decent income as a sole breadwinner feeding a family of 6 person because I found a right balance between family and business through a platform that has been around for more than a decade, which is still evolving. Yes, I can perhaps earn more than what I am now, but I am very much a family oriented person therefore this is the balance I am seeking for.

If you're really passionate about what you're doing, I don't see a reason why you will not succeed, even if it's part-time.

I started off part-time too, and am honoured to be able to achieve Top 10% producers in Singapore's Largest Real Estate Company every year. So much so that my "part-time" income is higher than my "full-time" income.

I'd say choosing the right team and right mentor to join plays a crucial part in your success. Having the right platform and training will hasten your learning curve. With this unfair advantage over the other RES, you will be able to kick-start your career on a higher level.

Hi,
I do have agents starting off as part-timer and eventually go to full-time after a year or 2.
For part-timer, discipline is very important. I can share with you more, if you have the time to meet over a drink.
As a mentor, I give 1-to-1 training personally to all my new agents and guide them until they are confidence to stand alone to close deals themselves. Hi, in my team, I have part time agents who are closing deals, mainly on referral cases. They also does new launches during weekends. Since you are taking RES exams in Oct, our Division will be conducting 5 sessions RES mock exam tutorials, schedules will be announce in due course. Once you passed your RES exams, you will search for an agency and mentor, I would sincerely urge you to talk to a few mentors from different agencies to understand their network and platform. Joining the right team with the right Mentor/Manager is crucial as this will greatly decides your future success. By joining the right team with proven success formula, your kick start is very much easy.
