I have exercised OTP for a flat and have agreed to allow the seller to extend their stay for 3 months. Both the seller and myself have not submit resale application to HDB. The seller's agent has asked me to sign the temporary extension agreement before we submit the resale application to HDB. Before I sign, can I request to list down terms and conditions? For example, I would need the unit to be in the condition as I have purchased. In case of any broken fixtures, cracked tiles etc, the seller would have to fix or compensate me for the cost.
