I have a question. I noticed that some of the agents I have talked to discussed the upside of investing in a property. Is it unethical for agents not to divulge the risks involved in property investment?

Dear Sir...

In any investment , there are always upside and downside risks...

Of cos we all would love to look at the upside and hopefully not talk abt the downside..

I wont say its unethical not to disclose, but having said that, some agts do not disclose not because they dont want to but they are not "trained to"

Eg..how does US increase of interest rates and simultaneous China devaluing of the RMB affect your asset in singapore both directly and indirectly? Some agts can answer this and some cannot...

In today's market we are talking abt making an investment based on calculated risks not jumping in for the sake of getting an asset.

Hi,

All property investment entails potential risks and reward, I do share with my clients both sides of the story so they can make a balanced judgment. At the end of the day, you decide which will outweigh the other. Which project are you considering? If you need a balanced input, feel free to give me a call. Thanks and hope to discuss further.

Warm regards

Dear investor,

The biggest risk of all investments is to lose all money put in and because real estate is a long term commitment, therefore the inability to liquidate is the last thing you wish for to happen for any investment to cut losses. It is easier to enter as long as you have the necessary funds and able to secure mortgage loan for the investment but never a straightforward exit if you wish to liquidate. Are you still looking out to invest?
