I am thinking of selling my current 4-rm HDB flat. I would like to know if there will be any resale levy, should I buy another flat from (1)HDB directly, (2)Resale market, (3) if buy back 4-rm, (4) if buy 5-rm?

Evening,

If your current using was purchased directly from HDB or using housing grant, you are required to pay resale levy of $40k cash when you purchase another new HDB unit.

However, if you are looking at purchasing another HDB unit, using bank loan, through the resale market, you are not required to pay any elvy.

Hi ACKL,

If you have taken Grant from HDB or your current unit is a direct flat, should you have your next purchase, a unit direct from HDB again, then Levy is applicable at $40,000.

Should you purchase a unit from resale market but taking HDB Loan then 50% of the cash proceeds will be deducted to contribute to the next purchase.

By taking bank loan and buying a unit from resale market, you're not required to pay anything.
