I am living in a hdb with 80k loan outstanding. I would like to buy a condo stuidio unit. My income is 90k per annum. Could you advise on the type of condo suitable and the likely downpayment in cash that I would need to fork out? Thank you.

Hi Lex,

Zhiwei has more or less presented to you the financial outlay required for your next purchase should you decide not to clear off your outstanding HDB loan before purchase. One more important issue you will need to consider is the CPF minimum sum required to be retained in your account before utilising the remainder for your next purchase.

In order to know what type of property would be suitable, it also greatly depends on the quantum of loan you are eligible for as we may know your income level but we do not know if you have any fix expenses to be considered for the loan. Thereafter, you may then shortlist unit types accordingly. Let me know if there is any further issues I may be of assistance.
