I am a single, above 35 years old. Currently staying with my mum in my uncles's flat. my uncle is also single, above 35 years old.
Thinking of is it possible to add my name into my uncle's flat as c0-owner or maybe to buy part share. This is to prevent in the event that if my uncle pass on, I will not be asked to surrender the flat back to HDB.

hi Ho Choo, seeing that no one has answered you, actually the answer is very easy, your uncle has to get a will done - to make you the successor for ownership of the property after he has passed away.

Your uncle can only add your mum as she is his immediate family member, you are not considered an immediate family member, and is not eligible to do so. You may appeal but according to the policy it is clear, they may waive or allow, but this is on case to case basis.

The first option on having a Will by your Uncle is clearest.
