I am a Singaporean and will like to invest in a 2nd property with another Singaporean friend. I co-owned a HDB flat and left with one year of repayment. I can expedite and paid in full if required. My friend owns a private property fully paid. Will we need to pay the additional stamp duty for our 2nd property? What is the loan quantum that I can apply for? Since it is joint ownership, can I apply for 80% loan under my name? I will be servicing the loan. Or do I need to pay up my HDB flat before I can apply for 80% loan amount?
