I am a PR who has just completed the divorce procedure with final judgement. I have the custody, care and control over my son who is 7 years old n a S'porean. I have been PR for just 3 years.
I am considering buying a 4 rm resale flat near the city together with my son but I am concerned with the following:
1. My PR status will last another 2 years but I am not sure if My PR will be renewed after that. Will I get into trouble in owning the HDB flat if my PR is not being renewed later. Will appreciate if anyone can share what will happen to my HDB flat if I lost the PR later if you have encountered someone with similar situation.
2. As I am a full time housewife, I have no income except for the monthly alimony of S$ 3000 from my ex and a lump sum payment which can easily pay for the 20% down payment of most 4 rm flat. However, I intent to work part time next year and I may be able to earn another $1200. Will I be able to get loan from HDB or Banks?
