I am a female Singaporean and my husband is a Singaporean pr.
Previously I bought our 3rm flat under non citizen spouse scheme, it is currently only under my name.
If we would like to sell the house and upgrade to 5rm flat, what should we look out for? And whether there will still be any grants? Should he convert to citizenship?
Also, I didn’t utilise proximity grant previously, are we still able to use for our next purchase?
We are looking to sell our unit this year end and purchase of another unit agreed with an owner this year. However, I understand that the agent fees is 2% for selling of HDB, which can be a toll for us as we do not have sufficient cash on hand.
My husband have an inheritance of a landed property in Malaysia from his parents who have passed on, hence, he does not know whether it will affect our next purchase. Does he need to sell away first before converting to citizenship? Or can he keep his property in Malaysia as it’s from his parents.
