Good question, and honestly… everyone should check, especially now with so many “fake agent” cases floating around.
Here’s the easiest way to confirm if an agent is legit in Singapore:
✅ 1. Search the agent on the CEA Public Register
Go to Google and type:
“CEA Public Register”
Then enter either:
• Agent’s full name
• CEA registration number
• Mobile number (sometimes works)
A real agent will show:
• Full name
• Photo
• Agency company (PropNex, ERA, etc.)
• Licence status (Active/Inactive)
If nothing comes up… big red flag.

Cross-check what’s shown in advertisements
The name, CEA reg number, phone number, and agency details in ads should match what you see in the Public Register. If the phone number can’t be found in CEA, treat it as a red flag.
