Hi Alvin,
As of now, it doesn't matter if you are a part time or full time salesperson. As long as you fulfill the minimum academic requirements expected of a real estate salesperson spelt out by the CEA, you are eligible to take up the RES (Real Estate Salesperson) Course at any accredited academy and subsequently apply to sit for the examinations. Upon clearing the examinations, you can register with any real estate agencies which are registered with CEA to practise. The course and exams are a requirement if your course of study is not real estate related.
I am managing a team of part time and full time associates and I can safely tell you that it is the commitment and attitude that makes a difference. A part time agent is able to break into Top 100 Achievers in our agency for 1st half of 2015 while a full time agent is not. If you are keen to explore further, may I invite you to our network session this Friday afternoon at Jalan Kuras (ice cream cafe) to find out more about us?
