Hi, Just want to ask if I enter the exclusive agreement with the agent, do I need to pay him agent fee if I sell my flat by my own during validity date?

Afternoon Jane,

If you have read the details of exclusive agreement, you will find that's it's a double edged sword. Hence the answer is YES, you are required to pay your salesperson commission if you do sell the property on your own, during the exclusive period.

Dear Jane,

Yes, you need to. Nevertheless, I usually have this gentleman agreement with my client that should they really be able to secure a deal themselves and do all necessary paperworks, I will be glad to waive off any service fees, that is if they do not sell really low.
