Hi, i just recently sold my old flat and moved into a new BTO. Hence the CPF monies reverted back to my CPF, around $100K.

I would like to seek the experts' opinions on whether I should use it to lower my current flat's loan amount or use it to buy a condo for investment purpose?

Let me know the pros and cons. Thanks!

Hi,

Since you just got your BTO, you need to fulfil your MOP of 5 years before you can purchase another residential property. Thanks and hope to assist with your housing plans further when you are ready.

Morning,

With the purchase of BTO unit, you will have to fulfill the MOP requirement before you are eligible for purchase on second property. Hence you would have to do your own sum on the financing along with your mid to long term planning.

Good afternoon investor,

As you purchased a BTO directly from HDB, you have to fulfill 5 years minimum occupation period first before you are eligible to purchase a private property.

Having saying that, you can invest in commercial or industrial property. If either doesnt interest you, you might opt to reduce your loan if you want.

Hope my sharing is beneficial to your decision making. Cheers!
