Hi I am staying in a hdb five room flat and I have a property in jb malaysia
If I were to buy a condo in Singapore without selling my current properties
Will it be consider as second property or third property due to absd ....?

Hi,

The condo will be considered your 2nd property purchase. Overseas properties are not considered in the property count when IRAS compute the ABSD calculation. May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Overseas property are not considered as a count so it will be considered as a 2nd property. The ABSD will be 12% if you are a Singaporean.

Good morning Kelvin,

it will be considered your second property ownership in Singapore.

But do take note of these cooling measures applicable:

1) 12% additional buyer's stamp duty (ABSD) as Singapore (SC)
2) max 45% loan if there's still outstanding housing loan
3) if you used CPF in existing HDB, need to set aside basic retirement $85.5k in CPF OA+SA before you can use the excess OA funds in this purchase.

Hope my sharing aids in clearing your doubts.
