Hi, I am first time buyer. Seller's agent asked me to give angbao if all process of buying resale flat done. Is that make sense? As buyer, I never engage any buyer agent. Should I give the angbao? Seller's also said she doesn't ask for commision just angbao will do. Is it such practice as seller agent?

Hi, if you never engage an agent, then you expect the seller agent to do all the paperwork for you ? Does that make sense too?

Hi Mira,

According to CEA, seller's agent should not ask any monetary benefit from you and vice versa, it would also unfair for him/her to answer and prepare any document for you.

You are acting on yourselves just like you are in court without a lawyer since you can defend yourselves.

Seller's agent would act upon seller's interest and advise seller on all action and document to complete the transaction.

Professionalism also need to put food on the table for the family. Pro bono will only offer to those who are in need.
