Hi Gurus, I signed a TA for the period of 2 years starting Nov 2012 until Nov 2014. Last month the landlord sold the property to a new landlord and now the new landlord wants to move in by end of the year 2013. I wish to continue my lease as per TA. What are my rights can someone help me out here or can someone represent me as I dont have a agent in between?

Dear Abhishek, would you be able to check your TA and see if there is a clause stating that if the property is being sold, would it be sold together with the current tenancy? Read More

Looks like you are in a bit of a pickle Abhishek. If you ask me, it all boils down to the TA that you signed and the clause that should reflect the events of a sale.

If not then my friend, your old landlord will have to compensate you and for this to happen I sure hope you got the TA stamped.

Let me know if you require any assistance in claiming for damages or any other property related matters.
