Hi Guru,

I am taking a housing loan from bank to purchase a resale private property. I have signed the loan letter of offer and am currently waiting for the loan to be disbursed and completion.

However, yesterday, I got a call from the mortgage sales officer saying that there might be delay in the loan disbursement without any specific reasons. She also told me that the credit department is reviewing my application again and there are chances that my application can be rejected.

I asked the mortgage officer how can such situation happened and what's the significance of the signed letter of offer issued by the bank in the first place, but she didn't give me any satisfactory answers.

Does this kind of situation happen very often? Can you advise me what I should do? Thanks.
