I passed the RES exam last year and I'm looking to join an agency. There is, however, something that has proven a stumbling block: I'm not a citizen or PR. I have a Student's Pass, which allows me to work up to 16 hours a week during semester time and unlimited hours during holidays. As such, I don't require a work permit, employment pass, or anything else of that kind to work. Even so, the few agencies I've spoken to in recent weeks are unwilling to let me work for them, despite the fact that I've confirmed with both CEA and MOM that I do not require any additional passes or special permissions.
So, I'm looking for an agency that will let me work part-time (trust me, I'm a law student, working more than 16 hours a week during my semesters isn't going to happen even if I wanted to) on a Student's Pass. Anyone?
