Currently, we are staying in a 1-bedroom condo, under my name. My hubby and I wish to update to a 3-bed condo. Preferred East, freehold. What r the available options w/o coming up with hard cash? We are both SCs, total income $10k b/f cpf. My cpf is used to purchase/finance my current unit. My hubby has 140K in OA and no property.
Can we buy a new private then sell the current? Can the private in both of names? Will I incur additional stamp duty in this case?
A new EC ~$700K will be ideal for us but problem is, we are not able to apply for one based on the eligibility requirements. HDB policy states that we must dispose our private before we can apply for BTO. We are not fine to sell off our roof & wait 30-month. Any way to overcome this problem?
