Hello to all
1) I have a HDB first appointment for selling our unit in April. HDB sent us the letter with a pamphlet indicating that besides the verification of documents, there is also an interview for us. Is this procedure new to hdb buying/selling or it is a normal practice.
2) With the current market situation, is it advisable to get a residential or commercial for passive rental income?
Thx

Hi,

It is part of the resale process, for the resale officer to go through your seller eligibility. As long as you met all seller eligiblity requirements, you need not worry.

Purchasing residential and commercial involves two very different investment approaches. Financing wise it is also different. In my humble opinion, I would recommend residential if you just want a hassle-free process and do not have the time to manage or research the markets. After all commercial investing involves walking the ground more, understanding the overall economic direction and the potential of the locality. A lot of investors find it easier to invest in local Reits.

If you are keen to explore more on residential, there are value-buys I be keen to recommend to you. Thanks and hope to have the opportunity to work with you.

Warm regards,
