Hello,
Question regarding condo acquisition in Singapore.
My wife is a Singapore citizen (currently living in SG), whereas I am a foreigner (based abroad on long term assignment). Is it possible for her to be the legal owner of the property (title in her name), whereas I am liable in full for the mortgage due to more favourable income thus increased borrowing capability?
With this approach in mind, would the minimum required downpayment be 20% (because she is a SGC and the propective owner), or 30% (because I'm a foreign national but liable for the mortgage)?
Thanks for the feedback,
