Dear Realtors, this question relates to Marketing of a Property and the CEA Licence. Let's assume that my friend is currently taking up the RES Course and will sit for the Exam in a few months. However, in this period, he's been tasked to market a HDB house. So, can my friend approach an Agency (like Propnex) and join them, with the hope to using that Agency's Licence to market the Property (even though he's yet to confirm his own licence) OR must my friend work with a person who is already a certified Agent and let the Property be marketed under the Senior Agent's NAME...but my rookie friend still gets a commission as a co-broker...So can this method of utlizing the Agency licence be approved? Your kind thoughts please? Thanks very much. Ryan

Hi Ryan, your friend can’t work alone in this case as he has not obtain the licence yet. But he could tie up with a property agent and negotiate on the sharing of the commission term.
