Dear Guru's,

Would like to know the service normally the buyer gets from the Agent. Will the agent appointed will be able to help to check whether all the renovation works carried out by the seller are authorised and comply with the requirements imposed by HDB
or other competent authorities?
Is it a normal practise to pay the agent commission in the first appointment? How can I ensure that till the key collection my agent would be of help to me without any issues.

As i am first time buyer and a PR here would like to seek your advise on this.
