If as salesperson were to represent both the buyer and seller within one single transaction, it will infringe with the no dual representation ruling set by CEA.

Hi Mr KC, nope an agent cannot represent both seller and buyer of a private sale. But if he is serving the seller, he could still assist the buyer with the paper work but cannot collect any commission from the buyer at all.

Good Day to you Mr KC,

Representing both Vendor and Purchaser constitutes to Dual Representation which is against the laws set by the Council for Estate Agencies.

The salesperson representing the Vendor / Purchaser can still assist with the administrative portion for both parties but can only collect professional fees from one party.

It is against the dual representation regulation but either for HDB or private transaction, it is not necessarily to have a real estate salesperson to represent a buyer but he can seek advice from the seller's agent.
