Hidden Gem
Regretfully I did not buy a unit before it is confirm the Thomson Line will be built. Prices have shot up again! Now I really can't afford this gem, a free-hold property build by MCL! I can't blame the owners for wanting even more now. Afterall, the Lentor Station is at Door Steps. The new MRT Line and Lentor Station is fully underground so construction should have minimal impact to The Calrose's environment, just like I didn't find much inconvenience when they build the Circle Line at my old condo. i shall wait for the market to cool before I jump in on this one. I wonder how high the monthly maintenance is seeing the condo has seven large pools though! -

Surrounded by too many HDB
Viewed several units but did not buy any unit at all. We almost wanted a Duplex unit but the roof top terrace is within sight from the taller HDB so it is not very private at all. What attracts us: 1. Upcoming MRT (2017? 2019?) 2. Fresh Air 3. Freehold status What pushes us off: 1. Surrounded by too many HDB as it is a low rise condo. 2. Current PSF too expensive for a non-prime district ; money better spent on a smaller D10 condo. 3. Upcoming MRT construction will be VERY dusty, VERY noisy, roads might be diverted. But for those really interested, you should buy it only 1 to 2 years before MRT opens. For the next few years, the Calrose should be terribly dusty to live in. 4. Recommends for family & VERY long term investment. Happy house hunting again ~ sigh ~ -

Good neighbourhood & Big Piece of Land
Very green neighbourhood. Understand that an MRT station will be built just behind the development. Large units. Very suited for family. Freehold status is an asset. -

Great place for family
The Calrose was developed by MCL land which is one of the best developer in Singapore. the resort living & children friendly environment is such suitable for family. And also it's very convenience to center, french school, popular primary schools etc. Wet Market is just nearby. We simply love to stay here. -

Not so rosy
MRT is all hyped up - even if there is, it is still a long long walk. Apart from freehold status, nothing much to shout about - 5 storeys high means the land is mostly occupied by the buildings. I won't stay here for convenience - driving is a must. Queuing along road to get into carpark is also a turn-off. -

So so Condo
Too expensive. Not really worth it. Transport not really convenient unless you drive. Not really near amenities too. The future MRT ? What line is it? Thomson line is still so far away. Anyway Thomson line map is not even out yet There are better ones in the East and FH - , new MRT is actually at east area - changi business park -

Duplexes
Was interested in the duplexes. Found it too pricy as the seller includes the roof terrence when calculating the psf price while 99% of the time its unused. This is esp so for the 2185sqft 2 rooms duplex (only got 2 rooms in 2185sqft!!); rather get a 3 rooms 1400+ sqft unit with a lower price. Decided to look for something near city with the duplex price tag. No question ask, this is a beautiful project. -

Future MRT opposite condo
The Calrose will gain the advantage of future MRT planned within walking distance. The decision of the station is firm up. -

penthouse
Viewed a couple of the duplexes. The ones facing adventure pool get direct hit of the afternoon sun right until 6pm plus and you still get most of the emitted heat even at night especially the last bedroom at the top floor.. Can be quite hot. However, the pool and greenery view is rather pretty. It's nice also when you get the ocasional wafts of pandan leaves fragrance. I also get the feeling that the units are much smaller than the stated area size, and this could probably be due to the design and layout of the units. Rather pricey for the area considering that the orginal launch price of the duplexes were about 900 k + then. -

Nice but too pricy
Nice environment, we liked it when we first arrived at the property for a viewing. However, many units there are now asking for sky high prices - from a buyer's perspective, it is not worth paying so much for the location and floor area. We have since changed our mind and went on to look elsewhere... -
