Cosy, quiet and convenient
I bought a unit here because this condo is very cosy, quiet and resort-like. The swimming pool is big and relaxing. There is also a nice jogging trail within the condo. It has a badminton court but no tennis court which is fine for me. A short walk (10 minutes) to the Botanic Gardens MRT station through a garden. The food at Adam Food Court (5 minute walk) is great. Many nice restaurants and NTUC Fairprice supermarket are short walk away. Convenient public transport to city centre. -

Not so rosy
I think Moon's report is not very accurate. She said she has been a resident, and she didn't know that there is a tennis court? 7-8 minutes walk to MRT station? More like 7-8 minutes drive to MRT station in traffic. Place is really old, run down and dim. But decent facilities though. There are nice and newer projects with more acceptable prices. Current prices with such an aged project is expensive. Not worth it. -

Noisy
The huge fountain is extremely noisy for 12 hours daily! Have to close all the windows if facing the pool or guardhouse so that we will not be disturbed by the very loud gushing waterfall. Most windows cannot be opened in the windows for most units. Will not continue my lease. Mobile reception is extremely poor too. Overall average if can own transport and can tolerate the very loud gushing water from the fountain. -

great accessibility, lovely place
I am a resident here. What I like about staying here: > very nice neighbourhood, good mix of expats and locals > botanic gardens (simply refreshing in the day, romantic and enchanting at night). By the way, it's only a 7-8 mins walk to the Garden or MRT station (if you are not too senior...uhm I'm near 40:) > Short stroll to nice restaurants at Greenwood area > Near Holland village, Dempsey and Orchard Road > Short walk to restaurants, eateries and shopping at Coronation area > 5 mins walk to nostalgia Adam Food Centre (great local food) and Serene Centre > 2 mins to PIE, means easy access to Changi Airport as I travel frequently > This condo is also very well kept with a very relax and resort feel > Staying here recharges me whenever I am home > For couples with school going children, this location is unbeatable with the numerous number of reputable primary, secondary schools and junior colleges. For primary school enrolment, it's within 1 KM to Raffles Girls Primary School and Nanyang Primary IMHO, this is a very good place to stay in. Only down side is there isn't any tennis courts. But persoanlly I don't play tennis and prefers the outdoors like jogging and running. -

Great for retiring
If you don't mind old and tired wooden planks, or a lonely environment, this is perfect for resting and retiring in peace. Reasonably well kept but as with old properties, this will have lots of problems of wear and tear. Those who like peace and quiet should check it out though. -

One of a kind - 19 Shelford
I have been looking for a condo unit near RGPS. Seen a few projects which are either too small (apartment types) or too expensive (big quantum). I personally like projects on high grounds , partly due to my belief in Fengshui. Therefore I like 19 Shelford the minute I drive UP the guard house entrance (unlike some projects you drive DOWN ie. sort of the road is higher than your unit). The pool, facilities and overall landscape is beautiful and well maintained, almost cannot believe that this condo is more than 10years old. The 2 units which I viewed have good layout and high ceiling - very spacious feeling. Only thing I don't quite like is that it is on split level. I took the short-cut to Adam foodcentre and walked further to the bridge connecting to Botanic Gardens MRT - about 15mins. In view of the asking psf and overall quantum, 19 Shelford is certainly worth my consideration for its location and prestigious address. -

Peaceful and scenic
This condo is well maintained amid its old age. It is situated at the top of shelford road which gives it a unblocked view of the surrounding. Moreoever the area is mainly landed houses which are not higher than 3 storey. Quiet and peaceful environment due to its location as it is located towards the end of shelford road (no through road) and hence cars driving there will be limited. Facilities of the condo is average. Swimming pool is nice and clean, small playground, squash courts (probably bcoz it was a popular sport which those days when it was built). Nevertheless, the walk to Adam hawker center using the short cut next to Adam hospital is 10 -15 mins at least. Walking down to the main road where the bus-stop is, will take about 15 mins. There is a canal separating the 2-way main road with a long over bridge bringing you across to Dunearn road where Coronation Plaza, NTUC, most amenities are located. This will take additional 5-10 mins. All in all will take at least 20 mins. The upcoming Botanic gardem MRT is actually situated diagonally across the Farrer Flyover, next to Serence Center. The shortest path to the new MRT station will be via the short cut next to Adam Hospital and this will need at least 20 mins. However, this condo still gives me a good impression. If I drive, this will be one of shortlisted condo. -

Beautiful Condo with Excellent Location
EXCELLENT LOCATION - 5mins walk to Botanic Garden MRT Interchange Station (Circle line 2011 and Downtown Line 2015) - Within 1 Km to Top 2 Primary Schools in Spore - NANYANG and RGS - Many other top schools nearby (National JC, Hwa Chong JC, Hwa Chong High, St Margaret Sec, ACS Primary, MGS, SCGS, etc) - 2-5 mins walk to hosts of amenities (adam food centre, serene centre, coronation shopping plaza, the singapore botanic garden, restaurants and eateries are aplenty) - 5 mins drive to popular Singapore's shopping spots like Orchard, Holland Village and Novena. - 2 mins to PIE - Prestigous address BEAUTIFUL & RESORT FEEL CONDO After viewing so many condos, I fell in love with this place. Stay here if you love greenery, relax and serene feel, yet with great accessibility to amenities. With this resort look & feel, holidays can be right at home. You'll look forward to chill-out at home, find solace and repose after a hard day's work. Or spend time reading a book by the pool, swim or soak in the sun during weekends and days off. Very good place to stay, and for investment as well 'cos the project is freehold. Beautiful condo in prime location. -
