M5 is here
was looking forward to this M5 @ Jalan Mutiara condo and finally it was completed in 2018. managed to get a unit here, it's a rare freehold boutique condo shaped like a diamond accessible to orchard and river valley area that is near my work. good for singles, couples and very small families. usually my fellow neighbours are similarly working PMETs with no kids and many expats. -

freehold, intimate
not too high, M5 @ Jalan Mutiara is just 12 storeys and i think only 30 odd units. very small development but that's actually the charm that caught my eye. feels exclusive, private and quiet. muted but very satisfying living here in this intimate freehold space in the centre of the city. share a 2 bedder with my close friend, but she is usually away working in the skies and i spend more time relaxing here by myself. the basic facilities are ok for me. -

near everything!
M5 at Jalan Mutiara is just a short walk to Great World City, quick trip to Orchard Road, with pcn nearby. rather affordable for prime area, and extremely convenient. the only thing is i wish there were more than 1-2 bedroom units, so big families can stay. i used to stay here with my spouse and dog, but after we had 2nd kid, can feel the space crunch. so upgraded to a larger but less posh place in the heartlands and left this for renting out and investment. it's still excellent though, perfect for a boutique freehold. -
