The Commodore, JBE Holdings’ latest residential development near Canberra MRT, sold over 70% of its 219 units during its launch weekend.

In a release, the developer revealed that buyers snapped up 162 units as of 6.00pm on Saturday (27 November).

The 99-year leasehold development features six five-storey blocks, with units ranging from one- to five-bedroom apartments, including four penthouses of four- to five-bedders with private lifts.

One-bedroom units were sold from $700,000 and $920,000 for two-bedders. Three-bedroom units, on the other hand, were sold from below $1.4 million, below $1.7 million for four-bedders and below $2.4 million for five-bedders.

“All unit types were well received, with the strongest interest displayed particularly for the one- and two-bedroom units, which were fully sold,” said JBE Holdings.

Singaporeans accounted for 93% of the buyers, and 59% are below 40 years old, indicating a rising aspiration among young buyers to own private homes.

“Apart from HDB upgraders, we are also seeing a growing number of young couples and singles booking the unit. They were attracted by the one- and two-bedroom units as they found the price affordable for starting their property journey, either for investment or their own stay,” said Doris Ong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ERA Singapore, which is the development’s exclusive marketing agent.

ERA Singapore CEO Marcus Chu attributed the hot demand for the project to various factors such as its proximity to MRT station and to the integrated sports and community hub, Bukit Canberra.

“We are extremely pleased with the great demand during the launch weekend,” said Patrick Lam, Director and Founder of JBE Holdings.

“Understanding our customers’ needs is of the utmost importance, and we are focused on giving them quality and good value property that they can be proud of. The Commodore is a home that has it all – from premium fittings and finishes, an array of facilities catered to today’s lifestyle demands, to nearby amenities and connectivity.”
