Alice Tan will be joining List Sotheby’s International Realty (List SIR) Singapore as the new director of research and consulting for Southeast Asia. She was the former director and head of consultancy at Knight Frank for six years.
List Sotheby’s International Realty (List SIR), Singapore has appointed Alice Tan as its new director for research and consulting for Southeast Asia, with effect from 1 July.
She will be joining List SIR’s research director Han Huan Mei, who will be focusing on the local commercial and residential market.
Prior to joining List SIR, Tan worked at Knight Frank where she served as director and head of consultancy and research for six years. She was later appointed as director of residential project marketing, tasked with formulating business development initiatives to create client relationships and project pipelines.
“We are now embarking on our next phase and extending our expertise into the regional investment market. Cross border real estate investment can be complex, with each market having unique characteristics and different regulations. It is imperative that we expand our research capabilities to meet the needs of our consumers – institutional, developers and consumers,” said Leong Boon Hoe, chief operating officer of List Sotheby’s International Realty, Singapore.
“Alice’s regional real estate research and consultancy experiences will be a tremendous asset in supporting our regional investment business line.”
Meanwhile, Tan noted that institutional and retail investors are on the lookout for new growth opportunities while embarking on cross-border property acquisitions, “with Southeast Asia as a potential target region, making market intelligence a highly-valued commodity”.
“The SEA region is poised to undergo transformational changes in the coming years on the back of robust economic growth, higher emphasis on infrastructure improvements, boosting the investment potential of real estate in the region,” she said.
“Together with the List SIR team, I aim to establish a holistic and relevant suite of professional services for our clients, focused on development consultancy and advisory backed up by market insights and robust analysis.”
