The Essence, a boutique condominium at Chong Kuo Road in District 26 is set to open its sales gallery on Saturday (23 Feb). The 84-unit development joins a number of small-scale projects that have been launched this year.
Last weekend, Aurum Land commenced the preview of Nyon, a 92-unit freehold condo in Katong. The developer shared that more than 1,000 people visited its showflat, including first-time buyers and en bloc beneficiaries looking for replacement homes.
Other boutique condos understood to be launching soon are TEE Land’s 35 Gilstead with 70 units and the 80-unit Lilium by SingHaiyi Group.

The boutique project is within walking distance to the upcoming Springleaf MRT station on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL). This station forms part of TEL’s second phase, which is expected to start operating by 2020. The travelling time from Springleaf MRT station to Orchard and Marina Bay is expected to take about 20 minutes.
The Essence is also close to the North–South Corridor (NSC), an integrated transport project incorporating bus and cycling lanes that aims to significantly shorten inter-town travel time. NSC is targeted to be completed by 2026.
Located within an established private residential estate, the low-density project has land area of 46,092 sq ft with a plot ratio of 1.4. There will also be various facilities including a 40m lap pool, kids’ pool, gym and pool pavilion.
The Essence is expected to be completed by 2021. Its showflat is situated along Sembawang Road adjacent to Hong Heng Garden, and sales will start from 2 March.
