SingHaiyi Group managing director Celine Tang claims the honour in 2018.

A relative newcomer in Singapore’s dynamic real estate scene, Celine Tang was chosen by PropertyGuru Property Report magazine to receive the award for the 2018 Singapore Real Estate Personality of the Year.

Tang, the group managing director of SingHaiyi Group Ltd, is the first-ever female recipient of the award in Singapore.

She follows former title holders Ching Chiat Kwong (Executive Chairman and CEO, Oxley Holdings Limited), Francis Koh (Group CEO, Koh Brothers Group Limited), Liam Wee Sin (Deputy Group CEO, UOL Group Limited), and Ho Kwon Ping (Executive Chairman, Banyan Tree Holdings).

Elite roster of winners

“Celine Tang has been selected to join the elite roster of recipients of this very special award for leading her company’s efforts in building a trustworthy brand by providing high quality real estate developments, as well as for helping to break the glass ceiling for female leaders in the building industry,” the publication said.

Among SingHaiyi Group’s current projects is the Conquas Star awardee The Vales, which was nominated in three Design categories: Best Executive Condo Architectural Design, Best Executive Condo Interior Design, and Best Executive Condo Landscape Architectural Design, and one for Best Executive Condo Development category.

“I am honored to receive this award and it came to me as a surprise. SingHaiyi and I are young in Singapore’s real estate industry. This honour is an affirmation of our sincere dedication. The SingHaiyi team and I are much encouraged and will continue to reach new heights,” said Tang, who hopes her selection will encourage more women to join the real estate business.

Company values

The female executive has lived in Singapore for more than 20 years and has been an advocate of corporate social responsibility initiatives and her company’s “KPIS” values, which stands for ‘Keeping up with times’, ‘Pragmatism’, ‘Integrity’ and ‘Strive for excellence’.

Tang was presented the honour at the eighth annual gala dinner of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) by PropertyGuru’s CEO Hari V. Krishnan on Friday evening, 12 October at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands.
