28 Jun 2017

The awards was launched at a press conference held last 21 June 2017 at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.

The search is on for Cambodia’s finest in the property sector. Nominations are now open for 2018’s edition of PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards. Successful nominees will vie for the top prize in three main categories – Developer, Development and Design. This also includes identifying the next Cambodia Real Estate Personality of the Year, an award recognising the individual who shows innovation, ambition and exceptional achievements in the industry.

In 2017, 13 participating companies represented more than 30 projects with Borey Peng Huoth Group nabbing its second consecutive Best Developer (Cambodia) award.

Hari V. Krishnan, CEO of PropertyGuru Group: “The growth of the Cambodian real estate and construction sectors in recent years has been remarkable, and we are delighted to continue our focus on one of Southeast Asia’s rapidly emerging property markets.”

As Cambodia’s real estate and construction sectors develop, there is an increasing importance being placed on safe building and best practices. Cambodia Property Awards 2018 will see a new award being presented to the developer committed to safety in the construction sector and well-being of workers. Other special awards will also be presented for the promotion of corporate social responsibility and excellence in sustainable development, green building and universal design.

“It’s a tremendous honour to be responsible for providing a platform to recognise and reward the country’s leading developers and projects. We hope that the Cambodia Property Awards will encourage even better quality construction, more innovative design and sustainable development in the years ahead,” said Terry Blackburn, founder and managing director of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.

The annual competition is open to property developers and companies with eligible projects in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville.

Call for nominations will close on 5 January 2018 while the submission deadline for entries is 12 January 2018.
