Special Advertising Feature

Every major city has a visual signature they can shout about. Some have a distinctive skyline, others an iconic building or a natural feature, and Mumbai is no exception. Set to join the list of ‘most iconic buildings in the world’, alongside world-famous structures such as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers and New York’s Empire State Building, is none other than The World Towers, comprising three stunning towers, of which one of them, World One will be the tallest building in India

Designed by renowned architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners – who is responsible for several major landmarks in the world including The Louvre Pyramid in Paris, Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, The World Towers comprises three towers: World One, World Crest and World View, all clad in glass and steel, and feature a unique curvilinear shape.

Luxe living

World One, the first tower at The World Towers, when complete in 2018, is planned for a soaring height of 442 metres with a whopping 117 floors. Besides achieving the status as the tallest building in India, World One looks to set a new standard of luxury living in India with meticulously designed interiors by Armani/Casa. Each residence will also come fully fitted with luxurious furniture and fittings.

One of the many benefits of living in a skyscraper is no doubt the panoramic views, and residents of World One will be pleased to know that regardless which residence they pick, whether from the west wing, east or north wings, they can expect stunning views of the shimmering Worli Seaface, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, the eastern seaboard, and Mahalaxmi race course, which can be admired from their unique curved glass living room.

The resplendent three- and four-bedroom World Residences are on the seventh to 40th floors, while the luxurious four-bedroom World Villas are on the 42nd floor onwards. The latter comes fully equipped with a home theatre lounge, private pool, lavish bathrooms, outdoor Jacuzzi, and wide sundecks in every room.

For recreational and relaxation pursuits, residents can head to the 80,000 sq ft specialised sports arena, which is home to a host of facilities including a squash court, cricket pitch with a bowling machine, golf simulator and putting green, athletics field, jogging circuit and floodlit tennis courts.

Alternatively, pamper yourself at the Spa – spanning 13,000 sq ft and spread across two floors. Here, residents can look forward to unparalleled hospitality and impeccable service, and they can choose to relax in any of the four zones: Spa, Fitness, Entertainment and Relaxation.

While the tower oozes luxury, style and sophistication, there are still plenty of nature elements dotted around the grounds, one of them being the 18,000 sq m landscaped podium greens, designed by world-renowned landscape designer and public artist Ken Smith.

Green tower

Further adding on to World One’s allure is the fact that the tower is expected to be Gold LEED certified, a US approved rating for energy and environmental design. Some noteworthy attributes include rainwater harvesting and water recycling, central water heating using solar energy, and motion sensor-driven lighting which will significantly lower energy consumption.

24-hour concierge

With an exclusive 24-hour concierge service, residents can arrange for almost everything, from booking tickets for an event, find a chauffeur, and even having your favourite truffles sourced and delivered right to your doorstep.

A quality home

Lastly, buyers can be assured that they are purchasing a premium and quality apartment, as it is developed by a reputable property developer – Lodha Group, who boasts an impressive portfolio of commercial and residential properties. The firm has developed several other rare and exquisite residential projects around the world including London, Pune and Hyderabad that have all been very well received.
