Bukit Gombak’s 45,000 residents will soon have a new Community Club in 2016.
The design for the upcoming Bukit Gombak Community Club was conceptualised based on the residents’ views and feedback. It will have open interactive spaces and green features such as a vertical green wall, community spice garden and utilising natural lighting and ventilation. In addition, rainwater will be collected for irrigation within the infrastructure.
It will be located along Hillview Avenue, adjacent to a new mixed development. When completed, the Club will also include F&B outlets, enrichment centres, a dance studio, culinary studio, multi-purpose hall, rooftop garden and other recreational facilities.
According to media reports, $2.2 million was raised for the building at the Bukit Gombak Community Club Fundraising Gala Dinner on July 19, graced by Guest-of-Honour, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The current 107 Community Clubs across Singapore are managed by the People’s Association (PA).
