Jurong West will have a new nursing home in the third quarter of 2015.

It can accommodate up to 290 residents, and will also include a senior care centre which can cater for up to 60 seniors. The facility aims to provide holistic care for the elderly, and provide more integrated healthcare services to working families.

It will be operated by NTUC Health, one of NTUC’s social enterprises, and it is planning to invest in operating five more nursing homes in the next three to five years.

According to media reports, construction for the nine-storey high nursing home at Jurong West Street 93 has started.
