HDB has put a residential site in Tampines up for sale through a public tender under the Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS).
The site, located at Tampines Avenue 5 and Central 8, is adjacent to The Premiere@Tampines – the first DBSS project.
The site has an area of around 21,000 sq m with a maximum gross floor area of about 63,000 sq m, including some 1,000 sq m of space for socio-commercial facilities.
The residential site has a lease period of 103 years and can yield up to 580 units.
Around 95 percent of the flat supply for public applicants will be reserved for sale to first-timers homebuyers.
The public tender is set to close on 3 August.
Meanwhile, HDB said it will also launch another two DBSS sites – land parcels at Upper Serangoon Road and at Bedok Reservoir Crescent – for public tender in the second half of this year.
The sites are estimated to have a combined yield of around 1,000 units.
Under DBSS, the developer bids for the land and benefits from flexibility in designing, pricing and selling units subject to rules and legislation to keep the character of public housing.
Once completed, the developer will pass on the development site to HDB for lease management and to the Town Council for the maintenance of the common areas.
Units sold under the scheme come with a 99-year lease term and will be put up for sale under similar HDB eligibility conditions.
