The ultra-luxury resort on Sentosa Island – Capella Singapore – has been listed on the annual Hot List of Conde Nast Traveler, which recognizes the top 134 new hotels in the world.
Capella Singapore, which is surrounded by 30 acres of rainforest, was opened in March last year on Sentosa Island, as the country’s premier resort destination.
"An exquisite Sentosa Island colonial/modern hybrid, the first Asian outpost of the nascent Capella brand is a poised yet easy going hotel that’s refreshing for straight-laced Singapore," said Conde Nast Traveler.
Decoration style of the property was headed by leading international interior designers such as Yasuhiro Koichi, Jaya Ibrahim and Andre Fu, and restoration was overseen by award-winning architect Lord Norman Foster.
As described by Conde Nast Traveler, Capella Singapore features 112 guestrooms including 38 villas, four Constellation rooms with private rooftop Jacuzzis and two Colonial Manors.
"With their generous dimensions and seaside views, even standard rooms feel like an upgrade compared to other Singapore properties," said Conde Nast Traveler.
Dining options at the Capella Singapore include an all day dining of Asian and international cuisine at The Knolls, Chinese fine dining at Cassia and revitalizing drinks and tapas at Bob’s Bar. The luxury resort also features meeting rooms, a fitness centre, a library, three cascading outdoor pools, a business centre with two boardrooms and the Auriga spa.
