Understand previously there is a scheme (under Joint Tenancy) for 2 unrelated PR to purchase private property in SG. Is the scheme still valid? If it is, what is the procedure to get this done? Can both individuals contribute the payment using their own CPF OA? Thank you!

Hi,

You can either choose to buy using Joint Tenancy or Tenancy-in-Common. Out of curiosity, will you buy a property with an unrelated person?

Dear Sir/Mdm,

For private property, it is possible for 2 unrelated SPRs to buy together. You can use both your income for loan assessment and also use both your CPF to service the loan.

During the conveyancing process, the lawyer will assist you to own the property under tenancy in common with each of you holding a specific percentage of shares.

Please feel free to contact me so that I can give you an overview of the process and also shortlist projects with good potential for you to invest in.

HI,

Yes if you are buying private property. There no restriction on this and you can even buy a private property under your own name. While you can use your CPF to purchase the property, there will be stages where you need to pay cash as well as to consider the Loan to Value.

Feel free to contact me via call/text/email to discuss further!
