Since market demand, hence price, is expected to fall (like shares prices where future expectations would bring down current prices), shd i, as a potential buyer, request for the sellers' flats to go for revaluation to match the price correction?

Dear Darren,

Costs of valuation reports should be borne by the buyers therefore it does not make sense to revalue the unit unless you really like it.

There said, if you like a unit and intend to request for another valuation to be done, whathappens that during this process, the owner manages to find another buyer who also likes the unit and has made the right offer? Why not make an offer for the unit you like according to how you'll value the unit and move on from there? If owner accepts your offer, you have everything to gain but if owner rejects, you have nothing to lose?
