My mother applied for a hdb studio apartment using my address under the Married Child Priority Scheme. Does this mean that I cannot move out of my existing flat or town for 5 years? Can I buy a private property which is not in the same town but within 2 km from her flat during the 5 years MOP?

Morning,

Your mother applied for the Studio under the married child priority scheme, hence you are only allowed to move within the estate or 2km from where you mother is staying.
If your HDB have fulfilled it's MOP, you are allowed to purchase private property, however, you are to continue staying in the HDB unit.

Hope I managed to clear some of your doubts.
