My HDB MOP will be met in Jan 2012. At the moment my parents are living in a pte property and ask me to to stay with them. Can i rent out my hdb flat if i decide to stay with my parents? And use the rental payout to help finance my parents pte property?

Hi Fadlin,

To rent out your HDB, you need to have fulfilled the MOP, otherwise you will require to seek HDB's approval and do take note that the period which you have rent out your HDB will not offset the MOP.

Afternoon,

I would advice that you fulfilled your MOP, prior to renting out your unit. It's only 4 more months to go, unless you have serious personal or family issues.
