My fiancee and I applied for HLE on 29 May and we have gotten the result today and it was not ideal. My finacee just gotten her SPR on 27 May, CPF contribution will only start in June.

1. Does not having CPF affect loan amount?
2. Should we cancel the current HLE and wait for her to accumulate 3 months CPF before reapplying again?
3. She presented her bank statements from 3 banks (there is one joint acc). Does the separation of money in the accounts affect the loan amount as well?

Thank you

Hi Alvin,

HLE is based on the income and age of the borrowers, where existing CPF funds and cash in bank will not affect the loan amount.

Both my fiancee and I are in our 20s and our income total per year is abt $110,640. But when i called in HDB they say my finacee cash flow is not positive. (We are in the midst of wedding preparation too hence the cash will flow out). Therefore when they did the evaluation they only consider my income and omitted my finacee income..
Hi
You may try to appeal for a higher loan amount. I am well versed in HDB transactions and have assisted various buyers in successfully appealing for a higher loan amount previously. I can also assist you to draft an appeal letter to HDB. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.
