Just Curious. How long on average does it take for any buyer to exercise their Option To Purchase? Though is given 21 days maximum. I am interested in a property that has signed OTP already but seller has not exercise OTP so far after 1.5 wks, wondering if I hv a chance still to approach the seller.

Hi,

If the option period stated is 21 days, the Buyer has the right to exercise the option within the 21 days. There is no point talking about average, as the Buyer can exercise on the 21st day before 4pm.

You could approach the Seller after the OTP has lapsed (21 days later), to see if the unit is still available or not.
