I've fully paid my HDB and fulfilled the 5 year MOP in Jurong. If i buy a private condo like Caspian/Lakefront, can i still own a HDB after i purchase the private condo? My understanding is that you need to sell the private condo within 6months if you buy a HDB. Is that true?

Afternoon,

Since you have fulfilled your MOP, you can keep you HDB unit and invest on the second property. I would presume that you are SC hence ABSD would not be applicable to you. Do note that if you have existing mortgage loan, the bank can only disperse max of 60% loan for the upcoming purchase.
As for selling the private property within 6 months from key collection, it's only applicable if you have it as 1st property and will be buying a HDB unit.

Hi DP,

Since you have satisfied the 5 year MOP, you can purchase private condo while keeping the HDB at the same time.

Also, since your HDB is already fully paid, and assuming you do not have any outstanding mortgage loan, you can loan up to 80% for your next property purchase.
