Is it possible to hire more than 1 agent to sell a property?

And if so, can i negotiate with them individually on the agent commission?
Or is the 2% fixed?

(Property was valued in 1997 at approximately S$2M. Dropped to S$960,000 during the crash in 2004. Current value uncertain although i have been told the value is most likely between S$2-3M)

Engage an agent who can focus and implement massive marketing. Must be able to tell and show. Otherwise, ask for an opinion www.catherinepang.com Read More

Hi Sandra,

You can try to talk to a few agents and then decide on one to help you on the marketing. Having too many agents marketing your property doesn't do you any good.

I am only a joint tennant and i want to make sure that i get the best possible deal so that there will not be any arguements later.

Having more that 1 agent will help to ensure that i get the best possible price etc
Sandra,

I have read all your replies to other agents. Firstly, the cost of a official valuation report is approx $750. I can help to arrange for the valuation if you are keen to get it done.

Like all sellers, you want to get the best possible deal, no question about that. It is your right to get a few agents to help you market out.

But getting more agents will also complicate matter in the sense that in order to get the deal close asap, the selling price may be lowered to attract potential buyers.

Having an exclusive agent will always ensure that your selling price is maintained, no unnecessary lowering. Of course the agent must be hardworking and driven, to sell your property.

Having said that, it is still your call.

Appreciate you can drop me a call at 96836230  to discuss further.

Thanks,

I am keen on getting the valuation done because i think it will make it easier for the agents to find a buyer with that in hand.

I do have a Singapore realtor (a friend's sister) coming to Malaysia on Sunday and i will speak to her first before discussing what to do with the other parties concerned.

If all goes well, then i probably will be able to make some decisions by early next week.
