Morning Zeamybro,

If you are SC, it would be good that you can start from HDB unit, before moving onto condo.
The main concern is your financial ability and preferred lifestyle. I may advice that you go straight into condo but your financial status is not able to support, it would be a burden to you, right?

Do feel free to contact me if you require further assistance.

Hi Zeamybro,

I believe you should be in an enviable position of most people in Singapore to be able to think over if you should buy private or public housing, when most of us are stretching our wallets just to buy public housing.

There is no more or less advisible to your choice, but rather, if you can easily afford a private housing, why would you want to jostle over a place in public housing with others fighting for the quota?

My only advise is to buy within your means. Do not overstretch your budget for your purchase as quality of your lifestyle and cashflow is important aspect of your consideration. You do not want to sacrifice your lifestyle much just to finance your purchase.

Hi zeamybro,

The question is after buying condo after careful selection, is one able to sleep peacefully at night with the instalments and whether it is more worth it, however after buying hdb there is mop period of 5years whereas after you buy condo and you buy hdb, within 6 month you need to sell the hdb

Also fianancing is also a huge consideration
