I shall be collecting keys to my single bedroom unit in the east pretty soon. However, I am of two minds. On the one hand, I would like to market it without furnishings so as to minimise my costs. On the other hand, I would like to fully furnish it so as to obtain higher rental. Can somebody help me understand whether the rental difference is great and
whether there is a market for unfurnished units.

What you can do is to market it as an unfurnished unit and open the furnishing options for discussion. If tenant requires furnishings, we can discuss further on the monthly rental according to the requirements.

Hi Stefanos,

There are market for unfurnished units, but usually for 3 bedrooms unit where tenants need a temporarily accommodation with waiting for their new house to be ready.

For 1 bedroom, I strongly advised to furnish it as tenants would prefer to see what they going to get. Thus, it we will be able easier to get tenants, the longer your unit stay unrented, the higher cost you will incurred.

We should be able to get a slightly better rental as compare with unfurnished units.
