I thing the answer to your question lies in the minimum occupation period (MOP) and not the number of years you own your HDB.

Hello Ong,

Under the HDB regulation, you have to physically occupy your HDB flat for 5 years, to qualify for the minimum occupation period.
I would also presume that you have rented out your current unit legal.
As long as you have fulfilled the basic, all should be well.
